ACCREDITED EMPLOYER WORK VISA

The Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) stands as a promising gateway for individuals seeking employment opportunities in New Zealand. Tailored for those who have received a job offer from an accredited employer and possess the necessary skills and qualifications for the position, this visa provides a pathway for up to 3 to 5 years of work in the country.

Duration of Stay:

The AEWV allows individuals to reside and work in New Zealand for a duration of 3 to 5 years, offering a substantial period for professional growth and cultural immersion.  As of November 27, 2023, the AEWV will incorporate a maximum continuous stay and an extended visa length, enhancing its flexibility and appeal.

Key Features:

With this visa, recipients are entitled to work for an accredited employer who has committed to providing at least 30 hours of employment per week. Additionally, individuals can pursue studies for up to 3 months within any 12-month period or engage in educational activities mandated by their employment.

Wage Rate Requirements:

The validity of the visa extends up to 3 years for those who earn at or above the New Zealand median wage, which is annually updated. As of now, the median wage is set at NZD $29.66 per hour.

Employer Commitment:

It is crucial to note that the AEWV ties the visa holder to the employer who initiated the visa application. Any changes in employment status necessitate a modification of visa conditions or application for a new visa.

Family Support:

Applicants may have the opportunity to support work visas for their partners and visitor or student visas for dependent children. Supporting a dependent child's visitor or student visa requires an annual income of at least NZD $43,322.76

In conclusion, the Accredited Employer Work Visa not only facilitates professional opportunities in New Zealand but also caters to the well-being of the visa holder's family, making it a comprehensive option for those seeking a temporary yet enriching experience in the country.
