As the managing director of Ako Immigration Services Ltd, Sally founded her agency in 2019 while juggling family, full-time employment and studies. She swiftly established herself as one of the foremost migration agents in Tauranga.

 

As a migrant, she brings a deep, firsthand understanding of the challenges and complexities of the immigration process. Her comprehensive knowledge, combined with genuine empathy and unwavering dedication to her clients, has made her a trusted and respected resource for individuals and families seeking to begin a new chapter in the enchanting land of New Zealand. Sally’s testament to her proactive approach in fostering education and professional development started in the Philippines as she managed special government projects such as Japanese Language training, IELTS review, medical transcriptionist program, and she initiated the Southeast Asian Institute of Computer Technology (SEAict) Philippines.

 

When she immigrated to New Zealand on her own, the journey was far from easy. Faced with the uncertainties and challenges of starting over in a new country, she relied on her determination, resilience, and strong work ethic to build a new life from the ground up. Over time, she not only established herself professionally but also found the love of her life and started a beautiful family.

Driven by a desire to grow both personally and professionally—and to help others navigate the path she once walked—she pursued further education. In December 2020, she proudly completed the Graduate Diploma in New Zealand Immigration Advice at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology, equipping her with the qualifications and expertise to guide others through the complexities of the immigration system.  In addition to her immigration expertise, Sally is certified in ESOL Tutor training, a qualification assessed by NZQA in Christchurch, New Zealand. Sally's educational journey commenced with acquiring a Master’s in Business Administration in 2005 from the University of Nueva Caceres in the Philippines. Moreover, she possesses a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, earned in 1999 at Ateneo de Naga University in the Philippines.

 

Beyond her professional pursuits, Sally is deeply committed to community service. Her extensive volunteer work includes roles:  Volunteering at English Language Partners as ESOL Tutor in Christchurch and Tauranga; SeniorNet Computer Trainer for Seniors in Hanmer Springs and Christchurch, Children’s liturgy facilitator and Lenin support at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tauranga, and currently conducting free immigration clinic at the Citizen Advice Bureau (CAB), Tauranga. Sally also supports community groups such as the Club Filipino Tauranga, Inc. and the Kunza (Chilean) Dance group, showcasing her dedication to community involvement and empowering migrants.
